A friend recently told me about M.A.D. Outreach (M.A.D. stands for Making A Difference). They're a local nonprofit that does a variety of outreach with the homeless, disabled, at-risk youth, and addiction recovery.
Check out the MAD Outreach website here. They've done a nice profile about Guy & Dorothy, the program Directors in their "About Us" section.
Their group recently lost the host location for a regular homeless breakfast. Please remember them as they search for a warehouse location and funding. I've sent them an invitation e-mail to join us for our upcoming TIP event, too.
Whether they join us or not, they appear to be valuable assets to the at-risk community in Sacramento!
