Turkey In the Park 12/2/07


Turkey in the Park is coming!

GET INVOLVED:
Eat with us
Cook something / Buy Something /Ask someone else to cook
Ask a local vendor to donate something
Invite friends or family to get involved
Arrive at the park at 12PM on 12/2 to save tables for the 3PM event
Pass out invitation cards to homeless the night before (12/1 @ 8PM)
Collect clothing or blankets to bring for the guests to pick through
Be creative

Lastly, if you see something missing, have a great idea, or you know that a special dish that you make would greatly benefit this meal, then let us know about it and then go for it.

QUICK TIPS:
1. Bring your food ready to serve
2. Please bring appropriate serving utensils for your dish.
3. Thank you for being on time or early.
4. If your dish can serve between 8-12, you are on track.

Great! I was hoping that tradition would continue. :) Those are fabulous since they're an easy handheld serving for a large number of people!

Hey Mike and I will bring a case of water as well. We have a lot of forks and spoons also we will bring those. We do not have knifes. I will post more next week that we can bring

Just signed up to bring some additional items: 100 spoons, 3 rolls of foil, trash bags, sugar packets, coffee cups, stick stirring dealios, and plastic bags (40 - 1 gallon size). These were actually left over from last year in a box in my garage. Nice, huh.

tried to e-mail you but didn't go through. it was good talking to you & learning more about the group. i think this is great & can't wait to be a part of it. just letting you know that i will be bringing tons of homemade biscuits & butter as well as my family. if you e-mail then i can sent my # if needed.
