Socks Dates

I mentioned a few posts back the idea of passing out socks and gloves to the homeless this Fall & Winter. We now have two dates on the calendar. Sunday, November 5th and Sunday December 10th. We will meet in Rancho Cordova for both of these events at 7pm and then head out to Downtown & Midtown Sacramento to pass out gloves and socks at a couple of spots. I'll post more information on this as the time approaches and you are of course welcome to comment below and ask questions, give ideas, etc... For now, if you are interested, what you can do is the following:

1. Collect socks and gloves and warm gear.
2. Invite friends to collect socks and gloves.
3. Invite friends to come along.
4. Anything creative (a collection box at work, e-mail SPAM campaign....)
5. Give up Starbucks for one week and buy socks with the money saved.
6. Make this a family project where kids get to plan and think of ways to collect socks and love the homeless.
