MLK Walk on Monday?

There is a walk in honor of MLK on Monday, January 15, 2007 in the Sacramento area. It begins in Oak Park and ends at the Sacramento Convention Center where a job fair and other resources will be available (what a cool ending). I did this walk four years ago and it was really neat to walk with such a large and diverse crowd, and in a small way then, to take a stand to bridge gaps in our culture.

Anyone interested in doing this walk? All in all, it is about 5.75 miles from Oak Park to the Convention Center. I am considering it, but I want to check in with some others and I would also first have to have total permission from the household too. Last time I went alone and it was really great, but I do admit that it is nice to hang with friends at these types of things. And if we do get a group together, maybe we could meet up at Bucks early for coffee and scones and possibly read through something that MLK wrote as a meditation before we get our 5 miles of excercise in for the day. Sound inspirational?
