If it rains...

If it rains tomorrow, we are still going to gather up to have our holiday feast. Water falling from the sky will not deter us but will simply mean that we will adjust what we are going to do. If roofless folks do not show up to the park in light of the rain, we will simply break off into teams and go and find them and bless them with a plate of covered hot food. And in an ideal world, we would still be able to eat with them in the places we travel to in teams becuase the goal of this is not only a hot holiday meal, but conversation and relationship.

Bring warm clothes just in case and be ready to get wet if we have to. But let's all hope that rain will not show up.

And thanks again to everyone who is pouring so much heart, love, cooking, and time into this. It has been touching to see how a simple meal like this has brought so many of us together to attempt to care for a group of people in Sacramento. May I be so bold to say that this is indeed what Christmas is all about?
