I just had someone from my church stop by the office to drop off at 30+ beanies, 30-40 pairs of gloves (easily), and probably 50+ pairs of socks. Holy crap, that was a great gift and a wonderful surprise. This is all for Sunday's Socks & Gloves for the Homeless event.
It's neat to see generosity at work in people's hearts, whether a gift would be very large like the one above or very simple like one pack of socks, a $1 beanie, a prayer, or a few peanut butter sandwiches that a little girl wants to make for Sunday's passing-out (a 9 year old girl's parents told me that she wanted to do this after hearing my announcement on Sunday at church).
This is good stuff.
