I just received an e-mail from an organization called Kids with Cameras, which of course produced the Academy Award winning documentary Born into Brothels, so I thought I'd encourage everyone to Netflix this one as it is a look at what it is like for children to grow up in brothels of India. Very powerful stuff and it could be a good way to start the year to have the soul stirred up a bit. Any other similar genre movie suggestions from anyone? (I am in desperate need of having my household rent something besides Seasons 1 & 2 of Grey's Anatomy).

In other news, January always gets me thinking of the year ahead and I look forward to seeing what sort of creativity evolves in these early months for loving the homeless and discovering other local issues that we can learn to address. Let's be thinking through what type of people we are going to be (called to be) this year then and how we can best collaborate to really help some people out. More to come very soon on that...

I saw this a few years ago, it's a very moving film. Highly-recommended.
