As of 2007, we will be doing our monthly Socks & Gloves events on the fourth Sunday of the month at 6:30pm. When will it be every month? On the fourth Sunday. Why is the fourth Sunday best? Because it is easy for us to remember if it is always on one of the Sundays consistently and VA checks often run out by the fourth week of the month, so there is a greather need amongst the homeless then. Also, there tends to be less holidays on the 4th Sunday (no Mother's or Father's Day, etc...). Here are the dates through the first 4 months of '07:
January 28, 2007 6:30pm
February 25, 2007 6:30pm
March 25, 2007 6:30pm
April 22, 2007 6:30pm
As far as other dates beyond that, I think that this will be a monthly deal year round, and I know that others have expressed interest in that. So as it gets lighter outside, we may adjust the times and what we are doing too due to weather change, evolving leadership, creativity, ideas, heart passions, needs of people, etc...
