It was important for me to report this because I want to help keep the n-hood looking decent for safety concerns mostly and I'd like to promote the idea that it's not cool to mess with another person's property like this (even in the case where the City owns it). Moreover, I want to learn how to cooperate with the local government on issues like this so that we can more fully cooperate on things that matter a whole lot more.
Bonus Material: The other day a possum became road pizza in front of our house. I had never reported anything like that before, but I ended up calling the City and they took care of it right away. Not only could the carcus be a hotbed for disease, but it could've been really nasty the next morning if people ran it over all night long. But most of all, it's good to partner with the city in things like this.

By the way, good thing this wasn't written in blood- that would've given off a whole different vibe.

I remember something like that, when "REPENT SAC" (or something close to it) was burnt into the grass with some sort of degenerative substance on the side of highway 50 near the mather field exit. That means that these people probably went out of their way to buy some sort of chemical, get out of their car at some ungodly hour, and purposely destroy public property in hopes that people will see the sign and suddenly think, "Oh crap! You mean all I have to do is repent?"
As a Christian, I am horribly ashamed that anyone would do this in the name of Jesus. I'm all for talking about Jesus, but that kind of thing only defames him and makes people question Christian values. No one wants to live in a community where things are so flippantly destroyed.
Yeah, I remember that too. And then there was also some grass graffiti that said something like "FEMA assisted suicide" or something like that. It didn't really make sense to me. I echo your sentiments.
